Note: If you’ve been directed here from the WageSplitter app - don’t worry, you're in the right place. We’re in the middle of changing our business name from WageSplitter to Paylab. So things might look a bit different!

  1. Refunds for change of mind

    Membership: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not offer refunds of membership for change of minds. 

    Gift cards: Paylab will only provide refunds for gift cards purchased through the Paylab App where technical issues during the purchase process render the gift card unusable or unredeemable, or where required by applicable consumer protection laws. To request a gift card refund, contact appsupport@paylab.com.au with a detailed explanation of your request and proof of purchase. All refund requests are subject to review and approval at Paylab's sole discretion. 

    We will not refund you for gift cards where any value has been redeemed, except where required by law. Gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuing retailer, and you must comply with their terms. Paylab is not responsible for refunds of purchases made from retailers using gift cards or for returns of products purchased from such retailers.

    However, you may have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see below).


  2. Australian Consumer Law (including faulty or defective products)

    We do not accept refunds for change of mind or other circumstances. However, you may have rights to a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law.

    In Australia, our goods come with guarantees which cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. 

    Where your claim is a valid claim under the Australian Consumer Law, we will refund you a pro-rata amount for the duration during which your access to membership was impacted, or the price of the gift cards (whichever is relevant to your claim).
